The Contemplative Landscape Model (CLM) on the visit to Matosinhos

One month ago, a valuable collaboration took place between two of our GreenInCities partners: the Municipality of Matosinhos and NeuroLandscape. Together, they conducted a site visit to the Parque Urbano da Real, an important intervention territory within the scope of the project.

Led by Agnieszka Olszewska-Guizzo from NeuroLandscape, the visit aimed to assess the visual quality of the park using the Contemplative Landscape Model (CLM). This innovative model is instrumental in the development of an environmental database spanning all GreenInCities' leader and follower sites, evaluating visual quality pre- and post-intervention.

The Municipality of Matosinhos played a critical role in this effort, providing detailed maps and on-the-ground guidance throughout the assessment process. This collaboration exemplifies the strength of our collective mission to foster greener, more resilient urban environments.

We look forward to further strengthening these partnerships as we work towards sustainable urban regeneration across Europe.
