Reimagining Šantlova Street: Safer, Sustainable, and Flood-Resilient

Nova Gorica is taking steps towards creating greener, safer, and more sustainable urban spaces, and Šantlova Street stands at the forefront of these efforts.

Key upgrades include enabling sustainable access to the nearby park and addressing flood safety through the reconstruction of a vital bridge. Together, these changes aim to promote eco-friendly mobility and strengthen the area's resilience to climate challenges.

The proposed plans for Šantlova Street and the bridge were shared with the local community in an interactive presentation at the Local Community Center organised by the Municipality of Nova Gorica. The meeting brought together 22 residents who live in the immediate area of the project. Their active participation was key, as they shared insights, concerns, and suggestions to help shape a solution that works for everyone.

This collaboration between local authorities and the community reflects Nova Gorica's commitment to co-creating sustainable urban spaces that balance functionality, safety, and environmental stewardship.
